The Las Vegas Roper Warehouse Sale

Cowboy boots in stacks at the Las Vegas Roper Warehouse Sale

One of the best things about living in Vegas is the endless amount of conventions and shows, my favorite being Cowboy Christmas. If you aren’t familiar, Cowboy Christmas is a once a year event held the first two weeks of December that is literally anything and everything Cowboy related. With NFR in town, it’s the perfect rhinestone storm. Everyone in the business or at all interested in the lifestyle is here and the best part, they’re here to spend money. From t-shirts and Christmas ornaments to farm equipment and custom saddles, you can find it at Cowboy Christmas.

Now, “cowboy christmas” is really a blanket statement for us Las Vegans. While the real OG Cowboy Chritsmas is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, there are several other notable shopping options just like it around town on a somewhat smaller scale. Plaza, Horseshoe, Southpoint, and Stetson at the Rio, which is where the Roper Outlet is camped out every year. This is a pretty big draw in that you have a ballroom filled to the brim with discounted cowboy boots, hats, camping equipment, apparel, and more. If you don’t mind jumping into vats of shoes and potentially fighting someone for the last pair of fringe boots in a size 6, then the Roper Outlet is where you want to be.

For the 2025 season, I found myself at this very event, throwing hands for a pair of snakeskin boots for $95. Let’s just say I left with them, two pair of baby boots for the nieces, and a Dixxon jacket on deep, deep discount. It was a win, and I’d resigned myself to not buying anymore cowboy shit until next year’s show. That is until someone sent me a ad last week detailing ANOTHER Roper Warehouse sale here in town, in February!! I had my doubts so I decided to see this for myself.

The Roper sale was Friday thru Sun and unfortunately I could only make it on the last night due to work scheduling (yes, I do this blog for fun, not profit). So I jumped in the truck and drug my ass all the way over to the east side where there is nothing but industrial warehouses and loading bays as far as the eye can see. I had my suspicions as I’ve been down to this area before and knew there were no “real” storefronts. I pulled up to a large building that I’d been to before, where the old Nellis Auction used to be. There were carts lining the sidewalk selling drinks and snacks. No elote or micheladas unfortunately.

I wasn’t prepared for what this actually was. Much like the Roper sale at the Rio, this was the exact same concept just with a lot more shit. It was the Cowboy Christmas sale on steroids. This was the actual Roper Warehouse, meaning the regional distribution center where they clearly hold and ship these items out across the country. I had no idea Roper had a permanent warehouse in Vegas but evidently they do, and four times a year they open it up to the public. There were huge bins of boots strewn across the front of the building and down the side racks upon racks of clothes, housewares, and hats. There was even a guy shaping Stetsons in the corner. While this is the kind of thing you see at Cowboy Christmas, I was shocked to see it here.

We were there about an hour. I ended up with a pair of knee high Ropers with embroidery, a Wrangler jacket, a fleece, five pair of Ariat socks for $3, and a Dixxon flannel to match my shirt from December. All in I spent $185 and it was a fucking steal. While I paid, the cashier added me to the email list to remind me of the next sale, happening in April.

So although the Roper Outlet is at the Rio in December, so are three million visitors. This local sale, only here in Las Vegas and Roper’s other warehouse in Denver, is four times a year, boasts free and easily accessible parking, and literally no more than a hundred people MAX. So if you love a deal but hate the experience, I encourage you to check this awesome sale out at the Las Vegas Roper Warehouse the next time you’re in town. For more info and where to sign up, check out the Roper Warehouse website.

Happy buying my friends!

xoxo, The Bitter Bitch
