Walpeup

By Julian Clavijo & Camilo Delgardo

Completed in June 2023, this silo is tribute to Harold Thomas Bell. In 1917, he ran away from home to join the war at the age of 16. He was sent to Egypt and prepped to join the war waging in Beersheba. His unit was sent in and Harold was critically shot, dying the next day. A telegram was sent home indicating he’d died, finding a father who didn’t even know his son had enlisted. Less than one year later, the war would also take his brother’s life.
