Kaniva
By David Lee Pereira
By the end of Day 3, I was fucking spent. Unlike the first day where I’d seen upwards of six different silos in eight hours, on my last day I was eight hours in on my way to see my third, Kaniva. After seeing the absolute grandeur at Lameroo, I decided to go for the gusto and drive two hours out of my way to see Kaniva. I was so fatigued that I ended up sleeping a few blocks from the silo.
Kaniva silo is set back one block from the main road so you cant miss it when you drive into town. However, it is blocked off behind a water tower and firehouse, making it hard to view and photograph. The silos were completed in October 2020 after 200 hours of labor and I can tell you, it is absolutely beautiful to see with your own eyes. Just know the driving is a mother fucker.

Just park on the main road near the houses because there’s really not a space dedicated.

Bring your drone if you want unobstructed views.
