Lameroo 1 & 11
By Smug
After accidentally driving right past Walpeup on my way to see the pink lakes, I made my way to Lameroo to see the pretty purple lady. This took about four hours leaving from Mildura and felt like it took eight. This was certainly more in the middle of nowhere than I’d been yet on this trip and sincerely hoped it would not be another dud like the silos in Patchewollock. There was some ambiguity online regarding the east and west silos, leading me to believe they were in different locations OR one had replaced the other, like the case of Rupanyup.
Boy was I so wrong. I drove into Lameroo down the near deserted main road only to see TWO huge silo projects, also know as a diptych, just several hundred yards from one another. They were set across the railroad tracks adjacent to a park. The first was the blue farmer, completed in April 2024 and the second, the purple lady, completed in April 2025.

Park in the area that says keep clear. Otherwise you’re going to have to drive out and then re-enter again in a circle like a dumbass (guilty).
