Brim
By Guido Van Helton
When I was in Australia just a couple weeks ago (Aug ‘25), there were no photos of the Brim project due to a lack of permission on behalf of the artist. I vacillated back and forth about adding it to the tour but since it was right off Henty Hwy on my way from Sea Lake to Sheep Hills, I luckily didn’t have to decide.
The images on the silo are anonymous and meant to simply represent a quartet of multigenerational farmers from the Wimmera-Mallee region. Van Helton completed the project in 2016, just nine months after completing another silo project in Northam, Western Australia.

If you’re driving from Sea Lake to Rupanyup or vice verse, you’ll find Rosebery, Brim, Lascelles, and Sheep Hills all on the same stretch of road.
